About Heather Morgan Shott
While her culinary adventures have taken her around the world, Heather Morgan Shott thinks cooking in her own shoebox-size kitchen is tops. On High Chair Times, she chronicles the good, the bad, and the downright maddening experiences of feeding Mr. Picky—her toddler son Mason who’s developed a major ‘tude about what he will and will not eat (strangely curry makes the list, bananas don’t). You’ll also find dozens of homemade puree recipes from Mason’s baby days.
Along with posts about the aggravations joys of feeding her son, Heather weighs in on hotly debated food and parenting topics, including breastfeeding, childhood obesity, food allergies, and judgey moms.
In addition to writing High Chair Times for Parents.com, Heather is the website’s senior pregnancy editor. Prior to joining the staff of Parents.com, she held editor positions at BHG.com, National Geographic Traveler, Brides.com, and Wine Spectator. Heather has written about travel, health, weddings, food and wine, and art for Wine Spectator, Modern Bride, National Geographic Traveler, Web MD, and Washington Flyer magazines. She lives with her husband, Chris, and son, Mason, in Long Island City, New York.
