Re: September Board

Amy: I think my back hurt from the pregnancy and vacuuming made it worse. I haven't done jury duty before. I don't know if I could be the person that gives someone their life sentence or anything like that. I'm glad Nathan do ok while you were gone. I'm sorry you weren't ok. I think it's going to be hard for me to go back to work when the baby is born. That honey chicken sounds amazing. Can you share the recipe?? I might make it for the dh tomorrow for lunch/dinner.

Tara: I love babysitting. I used to babysit for my moms church and I loved the little kids!

Brie: was there anything to relieve the back pain. I can't sleep because of it. I haven't tried my hand at making tutu's. But I did make some baby booties. My sister in law wanted some before she found out she was pregnant so I just made her some. They are so cute! I want to keep them for myself. You will make a really cute lady bug tutu for Layla don't be scared just believe you can make it and it will look amazing!

Afm: my allergies really kicked in. My eyes are so itchy and the right one is swelling. Other than that I'm starting to get some energy back. I'm glad cause I really need it. I'm just ready for the weekend. I only get one day off but that's ok. It's a day to relax and sleep in a little bit. K I gotta get a little bit more cleaning done.

Alix: A heating pad works wonders :smileyhappy: Also the thermacare wraps for your back = amazing, and they are safe but call your  OB to double check because I think it was only recommended AFTER the first trimester. But a heating pad on low is safe. I also used the boppy pregnancy pillow, and slept in a half sitting position with a heating pad in various places when i experienced some abdominal muscle tearing and round ligament pain, it helped too, although the general position isnt too comfy for sleeping as I am an avid stomach and side sleeper.

http://www.boppy.com/shop/boppy-custom-fit-total-body-pillow/ <- this is what I had, it was great, although I just realized i completely slept on the wrong ends.. LOL. It was given to me, so I didnt pay anything for it, however, it was definitely worth a million bucks!

This also looks neat too, I didnt see it when I was prego http://www.boppy.com/shop/boppy-pregnancy-bolster/

Tara: I started that blog when chris and I were only dating a year =x I was reading some old posts a couple months ago and giggling.. :smileyhappy: I had it bad for that man lol ...still do, but I think its a far worse case now. :smileywink:

Re: September Board

I have a question ladies...I don't like porn and its not allowed in my house. If you found out your dh was watching it what would you do? I can't stop crying. I just used his laptop and it popped up. He watched it the day before our 1 year anniversary and right after we found out we were pregnant. I'm thinking about staying up to talk to him when he gets off work but I'm not sure it's a good idea.

Re: September Board

Alix- I am honestly not sure what I would do.  I would be upset as well. I will pray for you on this one.  Hope you get some answers.  Maybe he was just scared about the pregnancy?  I'm not sure how long you were together before you got married but maybe the anniversary was also a reminder of what he once had.  But you do need to have a talk about it, probably best not to dwell on it too long.  So sorry hun.  As for the back pain, I took a warm (NOT HOT) bath EVERY night after it got really bad.  I also used a body pillow to sleep with.  Heater packs were handy as well.  I had some severe pelvis issues going on so I was in a brace for about 5 months to keep it where it should be.  The brace made my pelvis feel better so I could walk but made my back hurt so horribly.

Brie- Laylas ladybug wall decorations are ADORABLE (as is she!).

AFM- I posted the honey chicken recipe tonight... was going to tomorrow but figured it was done so I may as well post it now.

Re: September Board

OH!  And my jury duty is over... we found the defendent not guilty. It was a DUI case and I feel pretty good about our decision.  He had been fighting it for over 3 years.  CRAZY.

Amy: We dated for a year before we got married. He knew my stand on it while we were dating. He knows I don't watch movies that have explicit content and that I don't like him watching it either. I have to admit I feel like he's cheating but I know his character so well I know he wouldn't do that to me. And I know I won't be able to sleep if I don't talk to him. I have to build up the courage to talk to him cause I know I'm gunna cry again when I tell him. I don't have a body pillow but I find sleeping half on my side half on my stomach I can sleep for a little bit. I'm gunna have to call my dr. I read your blog I loved it! I read Brie's too. I want to start one but my life is so boring I couldn't do it. I'm good at fiction stories. My little sister keeps asking me to write her more of them.

Re: September Board

Alix- My life isn't exactly interesting either... but I keep busy. Hope your talk with him goes well, that's a rough one, I've been with my DH for almost 16 years now (married 9) and thankfully I've never had to deal with that. *hugs* You can use regular pillows too if you don't have the body pillow, what was so important for my back was having something between my knees and as I got bigger something to support my front side partially under the belly but mostly just cuddled along the front. I just used a regular body pillow (I was afraid the more expensive ones would take to much room so I tried out just a normal body pillow). But having something between the knees was the key (I still use a small throw type pillow between my knees, my back is so much happier with it. I don't do fiction writing all that well, I have an imagination I just have a hard time putting it into words... I can craft no problem.

Re: September Board

Amy: I will try out the pillow. I didn't talk to the dh last night. I couldn't. He looked beat from work and I didn't want to have that talk when he was so tired. He did ask if I had been crying and I just shrugged. It was hard to talk without crying again. But he knows something is wrong I barely talked last night and he knows that's not normal. The talk might have to wait until Sunday when neither if us are working. I've never been one for confrontations so I am dreading this. I'm not very good at writing fiction either. It has to have happened to me before I can put a fiction twist to it. I make fun of myself when I write or I use personal experiences in the story. The only crafty stuff I can do is crochet. I can semi draw and if I put my mind to it I can be creative.
