Kindergarten?!

I still can't believe I will have a Kindergartner next month!  I was so comfy with my daughter being in PreK...why does Kindergarten seem like such a huge leap from that!  Anybody else have a little one starting Kindergarten?

Re: Kindergarten?!

I feel the same way..it's exciting but kind of sad at the same time..it's like a big slap of reality that my son's not a baby anymore..he's growing up too fast :'(

Re: Kindergarten?!

Exactly. Then I just realized that after this year, my son will be starting middle school! Where does the time go? I still remember vividly the day he was born :smileyhappy:

Re: Kindergarten?!

My daughter just started kindergarten this past week. To be honest, it was harder on me than her. I call this a "bitter-sweet" transition in our life. She was more excited than I was to start school. I believe it has given her a new dose of in-dependancy. Oh and btw... She loves kindergarten :smileyhappy:

Re: Kindergarten?!

My daughter's first day was yesterday.  I did great and so did she :smileywink:  She has always loved school so she was very excited to go back.

Re: Kindergarten?!

I'm so glad she loves school! I bet she is pooped by the time she is home.

Ruby starts preschool next week. We are trying to get her excited about it. I'm wondering what I am going to do with 6 whole hours of time with no children. I'm excited but it will be strange :smileyhappy:

Re: Kindergarten?!

Millions of parents launch their kids in Preschool first as they know that Kindergarten is more academic than Preschools. Once your child gets comfortable with teachers and other group of children there is nothing to worry about. Preschooler's are trainned in such a manner that moving to Kindergarten is no more troublesome.
