Is baby pooping enough?

In the recent magazine it staes that a breastfed babies should have a bowel movement every 3-4 days. I learned with my first child from her to the pediatrician that babies older than one month can go up to 14 days without a BM. Breastfed babies have less waste so its healthy to have BM less frequently as formula fed babies.

It can be alarming until you hear that it is normal.
If your doctor told you that it is normal and there is nothing to worry about, I would say all is ok
Right after birth, breast fed babies usually have a BM after every meal.
Once they are past six weeks old, it is normal for a baby to go once a week.
Always check with the doctor if you are in doubt or suspect that something is wrong.
