Re: Feeding Difficulti

Have you been to see a Pediatric ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat Dr)? My baby had problems eating initially and was finally diagnosed with a posterior tongue tie. He had trouble with any form of feeding we tried (nursing, bottle with different nipple types, syringe) and would take 45 mins-1.5 hrs to eat and then was hungry again soon after. A posterior tongue tie can be really hard to diagnose, so you need to see someone who specializes in this. We had seen several pediatricians and lactation nurses (none of whom recognized it!) before someone finally referred us to an ENT who specialized in tongue ties. After the ENT Dr. clipped his tongue twice and weeks of at-home stretching, he is finally able to eat enough and in a reasonable amount of time (20-40 mins)!
